I know I need to calm the fuck down, but the crazy religious Republican mother fuckers in Texas need an attitude adjustment.

AUSTIN, Texas - Texas could become the only state to bar gays from becoming foster parents under legislation passed Wednesday by the House.

The ban is part of a bill to revamp the state's Child Protective Services agency. It passed 135-6 with two abstentions and now heads to the Senate.

"It is our responsibility to make sure that we protect our most vulnerable children, and I don't think we are doing that if we allow a foster parent that is homosexual or bisexual," said Republican Rep. Robert Talton, who introduced the amendment.

If the bill becomes law, Texas would be the only state to prohibit homosexuals and bisexuals from becoming foster parents, according to the American Civil Liberties Union Lesbian and Gay Rights project.

And what would they do with household where gay parents are already taking care of kids? They'll take the kids right the fuck out of the house.

Under the Texas bill, anyone who applies to be a foster parent or a foster parent whose performance is being evaluated must say whether he or she is homosexual or bisexual. Anyone who answers yes would be barred from serving as a foster parent. If the person is already a foster parent, the child would be removed from the home.

Eva Thibaudeau, a social worker, said she and her partner of eight years have adopted four children and have served as foster parents to 75.

"I am just so hurt and surprised, especially now (when) we are facing an ongoing crisis of not having enough resources to take care of foster children," she said.

There is absolutely no rational reason to do this, other than mean-spirited hatred. I don't know if I could possibly find a better example of how the Christian Republicans are pure and unmitigated evil, and hate children. They would rather put kids back into a state program where nobody really gives a fuck about them.

They are so fucking religiously insane that they don't care who they hurt in trying to make gay people's lives as miserable as possible.

I think we need a law that requires the state to take the children away from Christian families. It's obvious they are harming the children by indoctrinating them with hatred and fear. We need public funded de-programming centers where we can get these kids the help they need.

Remember that story from Florida about the couple that locked their foster kids in a closet and nearly starved them to death? That was a straight couple. Therefore, no hetrosexual couples should be allowed to adopt kids.

John Dollar and his wife, Linda are accused of using cattle prods, pliers, vises and starvation to torture five of their seven children. DCF officials said the Dollars had been licensed as foster parents in Hillsborough County from March to October 1995. Documents show the family was no longer in Florida's foster care system when they left the state. A warrant charges the Dollars with one count each of aggravated child abuse involving the children, all of whom were adopted.
