Boring Saturday night, so I watched a couple movies. Getting ready for Star Wars episode 3, I watched episode 6 - Return of the Jedi. One odd thing I noticed; at the very end, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, and Anakin Skywalker appear to Luke, in ghost form or something. Anakin Skywalker was played by Sebastian Shaw, an English actor. Here's a pic.
The copy of episode 6 that I have is the new "restored" version. There's a new actor that they replaced at the end of the movie for Anakin Skywalker. This must be the actor that plays him in episode 3. I found that rather odd, inconsistent, and something of an insult to Sebastian Shaw. Both Obi-Wan and Yoda appeared as when they died, but Anakin Skywalker suddenly looks 30 years old.
It's not a huge deal, but I really don't like the way that some directors change their movies that way. It's one thing to add some deleted scenes for a "directors cut", but to completely replace an actor doesn't seem right.
Oh.. and I watched The Grudge. It's a really bad movie.
