It's been chilly and wet here for a few days. Still, it's not ice so I can live with it. I'm looking forward to it warming up. The springtime in Dallas is really nice.
Over the weekend I saw the broadway tour of Elton John & Tim Rice's Aida. It's basically Romeo and Juliet set in acient Egypt, where every man must have had six pack abs. I'll bet it's hillarious to be backstage and watch the actors pump up before the show.
Honestly, it was like going to a minor league baseball game. The actors voices were uninspiring. The acting over the top. The music was average, with no stand out songs. Still, there was something about it that I found entertaining. I'll give it 3 stars out of 5.

So Tom,
I see you are taking some of your own advise and relaxing a bit...even if it is for a Broadway Musical!! Maybe your trip to Florida on V-day will add some sort of relaxation as well.
I teach an American Public Politics class and may use some of your viewpoints for student commentary discussions sometime.
Always a pleasure...
I would have a really difficult time teaching politics. I preach way too much, and if a student disagreed with me, I'd just say "you're wrong, you get an F". LOL
It certainly is an interesting time for politics. While you can't teach people what to think, you can teach them how to think. That's the most difficult part, and the key to success.
Yes...I agree...teaching about politics of our time is a task upon itself. Just yesterday, during a current events portion of the period my choice was..."Hey look, there is a big sale at Boston Store!" (Flashing full page ad)....JK, but could really use your postings for more fun and much deeper reflection!
