The Washington Post is really starting to bag on the Prez. You know.. saying he's lying, when he's really lying. That's remarkable. You couldn't find much of that prior to the election for some reason. I mean, he lied a lot, but the press was reluctant to call it lying..
The campaign will use Bush's campaign-honed techniques of mass repetition, never deviating from the script and using the politics of fear to build support -- contending that a Social Security financial crisis is imminent when even Republican figures show it is decades away.Remember all the vague "threat warnings" and that color coded scale that was supposed to tell us how likely we were to be attacked by terrorists again? Remember how it used to go up and down all the time, while we were told of "credible information"? Did ya ever think it odd that the government would change security levels, but not tell us what might be a target so we could do something about it? Did you ever wonder why we have a color coded system in the first place? I mean, wouldn't you want our government to be on the highest alert all the time?
If you're a terrorist and want to attack, wouldn't you look at the pretty colors and say, 'oh look, they're on green, we should attack now'.
I mean.. puhlease.. isn't that the most ridiculous thing you've ever heard? How about duct tape. Do you have rolls and rolls of plastic sheets and duct tape in your garage? After all, that's what John Ashcroft thought every American should have in order to protect themselves from a biological attack. Wouldn't it be better if you got a big giant Gladd Bag and throw that over your house? You'd likely suffocate in a few hours, but you wouldn't get any of those nasty germs on you.
That's the politics of fear. That can get a chimpanzee elected President in America.
So now Bush is pushing his plan by lying about figures his own government disputes. Can we please impeach this lying sack of shit now?
