I'd truly love to see Doug tell a gay combat veteran that they are a "sexual deviant"...
The point being, people like Doug are so vile that they demean the very core humanity of people who have actually served their nation in combat. Some of them have died in that service... while Doug has done nothing but sit behind his keyboard, pounding out demented screeds and avoiding any real danger.
Doug wants the muslims destroyed.. but he doesn't want to pull the trigger himself.. or more precisely, he doesn't want his own brains exploding to a well aimed shot. He would piss himself if he actually had to risk his own neck.
It's cowards like Doug that can type a mean game.. but confronted with a real soldier, with real combat experience, who just happens to be gay.. Doug would shut the fuck up like the bitch he is.

Of course, the odds increase that we'll have more wars and a draft could be instituted and you might be fucked.. but other than that, I don't see the down side to adding an entertainment factor to the imminent Loon Brigade control of government.
I haven't commented because there's not a lot of point to argueing it. You just see it one way and I see it another. I get what you're saying about showing people what Republicans are all about but I also know what the human cost would be not just to myself but to countless others. At this point I'm not jaded enough to want to sacrifice like that.
In other news, I probably wouldn't be affected by a draft unless they change it significantly. I just got accepted to do graduate work at the University of Oregon.

For all their talk about democracy being mob rule, they just don't have the cognation to work out that the constitution restricts the acts of Government.
Government cannot tread on fundamental due process rights even for people in the military (or foreigners in the US) and it's not supposed to be treading on gay people.

As for Doug's repeated railing against gay people, it does not take a team of psychiatrists to work out why...but it is somewhat irritating for these jackasses to cloak their mental health issues in the constitution.

I also encountered "Loki" when calling in, pre-arranged, to Doug's "program". I've asked Doug a couple times to point me to Loki's blog, or otherwise document his credentials to the claim that he is a "scholar". I received nothing back but dead silence.
Here's the thing. I assume most people are full of shit. I know Doug's full of shit. My "shit" meter is pegging on this "Loki" jagoff as well. I'm pretty sure he's just some uneducated whacko that thinks merely reading the document grants him some understanding the rest of the unwashed heathens cannot grasp.
It's like these "constitution classes" Doug conducts.. or whatever the fuck he says he's doing. He has zero training in the law.. flunked out of uni, and now wants to be able to claim some sort of expertise, whilst simultaneously insulting those who actually are experts in the field.
It's absolutely remarkable.. and only people who are also intellectual wash-outs support them because out of a sense of projection. In other words.. I'm a failure, and Doug's a failure, so we can say everyone else is "elitest" and we're right.

They are great a spouting off teh law - but they come completely unstuck in applying the law to the facts of a particular case.
No, changed my mind. I'm not even giving them that. They don't know they law and their misunderstandings of constitutional fundamentals leads them to preposterous conclusions: such as the bonkers conclusion that everyone in the military loses ALL constitutional rights.
A) you can look around and see for yourself that's retarded; and
B) a real historian would know that the Founders did not want people to be press-ganged into our forces.
