"It was a setback, and it certainly was a setback last weekend," said Jones before delivering a little parable to his team in the locker room. "But I told our team just a minute ago about 10 years before I bought the Cowboys I was renting a car at Love Field and they cut my credit cards up when I handed them a card to rent a car.
"So I know what hard times are like in Dallas, and I know you can overcome it."
The Eagles beat New York, giving the Eagles the division lead. The Cowboys still have a route to the play-offs, but they've got to win 2 out of the next 3 games, and one of those includes New Orleans.
The team really isn't that good. Most of it is mental.
I do like Jerry Jones though. He's got an authentic enthusiasm for the team, and a genuine style about him. I had no idea that he wasn't always filthy rich. Shit happens to everybody at some point. He certainly did turn things around.
