Wooo.. I found a tuner that has a lot of experience with Zs, and carry parts and so on. They're not very far away at all.. in Garland.
That's a cool front bumper kit. I like that a lot. The side sills are hot too.
I've definately got the bug. I might end up having to buy one new to get exactly what I want. I'm also re-thinking the whole chicane yellow color.
Regardless, there's some engine mods that can be done (cold air intake, headers, exhaust, ECU reprogramming, etc.) that aren't too expensive and add quite a bit of power. The Eibach springs are about $500 and will lower the car about an inch, which would look very nice... comparable to the ride height of the car in the photo.
The 2010 model year is about to land.. so I'm keeping an eye out. Figure a Z for about 38k, about 5k in mods, and 3k in audio. I'd be happy with that.

White? I'm so confused..
/update 2
A local dealer has a white one with all the options, but the seats are orange. I dunno about that.
I'm definately leaning towards white now. I could take the stock wheels and get them powder coated to gun-metal or black. That would look hot.

That kit definately improves the styling alot more.
On another note... fucking 38K Z, I'd buy 2...
LOL.. ya.. I'm seeing them selling at or just above invoice. Weird most are auto-tranny, I can't imagine with the new auto-blip feature on the car that anyone would consider going with the paddles.
I think my goal should be to have one by March or so. Just need to find the right config at the right price. My G is worth about 16k, so that should offset a nice chunk.
Oh.. and what did I tell you about "alot"? lol
I had 3 pint's for lunch leave me alone :P
Alright.. we get cars cheap, and you get to beer it up at lunch. I'm not sure who's got the better end of the deal..
I was really into the car shopping a few months ago when I thought I'd still be commuting to work. Granted I didn't have ~40k to drop on a car...
I was looking at the VW GTI for around $26k or so.
But the new job is just down the road and I can take the train, so that's out for awhile.
I like the Z. I see lots of them driving around the city. They're small and stylish. I couldn't imagine buying one in auto or that fake shifting crap. Give me a clutch and a regular manual any day.
k, back to work.
Current GTI is nice, I like the revised styling but I'd prefer the Scirocco, much better looking car and the same engine.
