Week 7

So I was wrong. I said the coaches wouldn't start Miles Austin this week. They did, and he had another big game. He's like Terrel Owens, without being a dick.

The Cowboys played a complete game, doing well in all phases. Romo didn't turn the ball over, he dodged and weaved, ran when he needed to, and threw touch down passes. The defense pressured the quarter-back, covered well, and above all else, they tackled. The special teams were solid again.. long field goals made, great punts and kick offs, and a punt return for touch down. They did have way too many penalties again though.

When they play that way, they'll beat anybody. The key is just having a solid, complete game. The Giants lost, putting them at 5-2 versus the Cowboys 4-2. A division title is not out of the question if they can keep playing that solid, fundamental game.

Seattle is up next. That should put them at 5-2.

Unfortunately I agree with you re: 5-2 after Seattle. I'd like to see the Hawks rally and start getting some wins, but I really feel like the division is out of reach.

Seattle's schedule looks pretty daunting based on the way they're playing. If they play like the did vs Jacksonville they could go 8-2 to finish up, but if they play like they did during their loses this year they could go 4-6 to finish out... :(

We'll see who shows up in Dallas on Sunday. If they look good there's hope, if not, the season is done for. They are coming off a bye so it's possible they could be a bit healthier than they've been.
