Obama tried to pacify the homos this weekend. It's bullshit.
He's done one thing for the cause since he's been elected. He invited some gay couples to the White House easter egg roll thing. That's it.
It is true that there are some hero worshiping lefty freaks that bristle at any criticism of Obama. There were much more that worshipped Chimpy. The rest of us are not fooled at what a pathetic excuse of a fraud that Obama really is.
The Human Rights Campaign truly is a mafia style racket. They don't want to actually achieve what they say they advocate for, because then there will be no more use for them. Once the federal laws are neutral, there will no longer be a "gay rights movement", and hence no more money for groups like the HRC.
That's why you see some big homo organizations so enthusiastic about Obama's lip service. It's a nice warm fuzzy, but doesn't actually accomplish a fucking thing. And they keep asking me for money.
Fuck Obama. Fuck the HRC. We refuse to be 2nd class citizens to anyone, in any way.. and woe be the fuckers that try.

What seems odd to me is that most people have no idea why gay people are so impatient, and why we're not willing to wait a single day.. I personally don't give a fuck what anybody else thinks. We live in a highly destructive society for gay men and women, and it has to stop.
A lot of gay people suffer from the battered wife syndrome. Not me. I'm not asking anybody nicely anymore, not that I really ever did. I'm not the type that makes money from the status quo, like the HRC. I'm not the sort that thinks we need to put the issue to a popular vote. I don't really give a fuck what the popular opinion is.
What we do is take what we have to, and fuck up those people who stand in the way. Politically, that means we refuse to support Democratic candidates that are not as insistent as we are. In this particular case.. fuck Barack Obama.. just fuck him, and let's get us a Republican president that can fuck all the stupid heterosexual fucks too. Fuck Nancy Pelosi.. and fuck Harry Reid. And fuck you if you think that we should just wait until the majority of the stupid fuckers in this country finally realize what a travesty that "justice" is in the US.
Glenn Greenwald is an American, living in Brazil because his "partner" is not allowed in the United States, as he would be if they were a hetero couple that got married.
More than likely what will have to happen is have Scalia retire from the Supreme Court, get one more vote, then sue like mad to get the issue before the court. That way it can be forced onto every state in this country regardless what their state constitutions say, or what their residents think.

I've even seen some readers here argue that we have to wait on the end of DADT because of some stupid fucking nebulous arguments that make absolutely no sense what-so-ever. I cannot begin to imagine the horror of stupidity it takes to think that way.
Obama truly did use us. He used the progressive net-roots, and political groups to get elected. He's an actor that played the part of a different type of politician that would be responsive to the people who got him elected. He is not that man. He's the opposite.
Obama really disdains the progressives. He thinks we're a "fringe" minority, and the right place to be on all issues is smack dab in the middle. That's why douche bags like Andrew Sullivan have a love/hate relationship with Obama. Sully loves how Obama is in that magical mystery center.. on every issue.. except gay rights. What Sullivan is too stupid to realize is that what pisses him off about Obama and gay rights applies to EVERY single political issue.
If Sullivan were heterosexual, he'd be working in the administration.. marginalizing the progressive groups.. accusing us of mounting a "5th column".
More than likely I will be supporting whatever candidates the Republicans put forward for the Congressional and Presidential elections. Obama and the Democrats do not deserve our support. Lets drive his approval numbers below Chimpy territory.. shall we?

Change doesn't happen over night. Hearing him protest that he is still in favor of rights keeps me hopeful. If at the end of four years if nothing gets done I'll be pissed bit there is still time.
Another thing is that at the end of the day, hes still just a politician.
Odd's are A: He is full of shit (likely) or B: He's saving alot of the Gay rights stuff for an approval slump to boost polls (also likely)
Both are dick move's, but both arent that uncommon in politics. You sure as shit don't get to the top post in government without being something of a prick.
The "gay rights stuff" aren't something that would pull him out of a ratings slump. They're not terribly popular positions in most of the country.
I suppose that the one rationale that makes sense is that he's ignoring that stuff until after the health care thing is finished. It would be pretty distracting to try and do both at the same time.
My sense is, obviously, that the health care bill is going to suck (or not happen at all), and then he's going to move onto something else.. something trivial.
He really hasn't done a single thing in office other than offer hollow words, and he's coming up on a year now. Not one single campaign promise has been met. Not one single policy issue has been addressed. And this is with a big majority in the house and Senate that he may not have for much longer.
He sucks... bad.
And what did I say about "alot"? Pints at lunch again?
