Barbie the lesbo

Ya.. so I'm back to work and all that. It was a nice vacation, and so far so good at work. I'm still employed, have a few things to do, and they keep throwing money at me.. yay.

So.. I'm starting to catch up on reading, and the first item I'm going to regurgitate is from americablog. Apparently the right wing fundi psychos "Concerned Women for America" think Barbie is a dyke. I find it odd that a piece of plastic could be a dyke, but whatever.

Okay.. so I thought I'd have a look at the Barbie web site and see what the options are. I wanted to get a laugh from the "I'm a flaming homo" option.. but all I saw was.

"I am a boy"
"I am a girl"
"I don't know"

So, quite obviously if you check "I am a boy" and you're on the Barbie web site, you're going to have yards and yards of purple chiffon in your future. If you selected "I don't know", your parents suck because they should have told you what your gender is, and you're bi-sexual.

I find it rather odd that they don't complain that on the web site, Barbie is showing off her flat and toned mid-section, but then again, I can see them staring at Barbie dolls for hours on end.. but instead of playing dress up.. they're playing "lets pretend this is the babysitter".
