Obviously I haven't been writing much.. I still read a lot, but not much interest in reguritating and venting about it here.
A tad bit of concern though.. I was on a conference call this morning, and my primary project is apparently getting cancelled. I'm not sure of exactly what the ramifications are, but apparently the VA has asked for an estimate of the cost to "shut down the project for '06".
Apparently this is more of Congress fucking with the VA budgets.. in their efforts to more "support the troops".
Fuck you Republican scum..
I'm not overly concerned that I'm going to be out of a job, but it is possible. I'm confident there will be other things to work on, but one never really knows.. It would totally suck ass to be out of work again after getting really settled in my current job.

My boss just came by.. said "don't sweat it.. we don't let exceptional employees go".. which is a nice thing to say.. but sometimes it's not up to the managers..
He's Scottish and probably the best manager I've worked for.. even though I don't always understand what he's saying to me..
