Evil Designs

I noticed a post over at Kos, having to due with the federal judge slapping down the "intelligent design" freaks. He posted some interesting facts about the case.

The board members wanted a 50-50 ratio between the teaching of creationism and evolution in biology classes (p. 95)

The President also wanted to inject religion into social studies classes, and supplied the school with a book about the myth of the separation of church and state. (p. 96)

Another board member said "This country wasn't founded on Muslim beliefs or evolution. This country was founded on Christianity and our students should be taught as such." (p. 102)

At a meeting, a board member's wife gave a speech, saying that "evolution teaches nothing but lies," quoted from Genesis, asked "how can we allow anything else to be taught in our schools," recited gospel verses telling people to become born again Christians, and stated that evolution violated the teachings of the Bible. (p. 103)

Other statements by board members included "Nowhere in the Constitution does it call for a separation of church and state," and "liberals in black robes" are "taking away the rights of Christians, " and "2,000 years ago someone died on a cross. Can't someone take a stand for him?"
The point I want to emphasize is that I'm astounded the case even got to the federal court, and was even given serious consideration. I'm astounded that some people agree with those points.

In this debate, clearly one side must be certifiably insane. I simply do not understand why this issue isn't taken as seriously as the militant Islamic fundamentalist groups are. They are equally as dangerous.

This isn't just about some nice misguided Christians, who just want to teach their children their faith. This is a deliberate and horribly evil attempt to destroy our way of life, even more insidiously than the Islamists that destroyed the WTC, and the Pentagon. I say more insidious because we KNOW the Muslims terrorists were trying to kill and destroy our country in a very obvious way. These Christians are trying to do the same exact thing, but they veil their intentions in a much more clever way; by seeming benevolent and harmless. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Each new legal case that is brought, is another chance for them to codify their out right lies. I fear it's not going away, as they scream their lies louder and louder, and we all know that if you do that long enough, the lie becomes the truth.

The "separation of church and state" is very much a part of the Constitution, and clearly articulated by Thomas Jefferson. It is the establishment clause. We also know that 7 or the 9 "founding fathers" were not even Christian. They denied the divinity of Christ and were, in fact, deists.

It should be clear to anyone that they were clearly unhappy with the unilateral power of a monarchy, and quite disturbed by the meddling, evil, presence of the Christian churches. That's WHY they established a democracy that insisted religion stay out of it.

It is important that we fight the cult of Christianity as hard as we fight the cult of Islam. The roots of their evil run very deep, and it's tearing at every fabric of our nation.

Consider our economy. We used to have the best manufacturing economy in the world. It is now quickly sliding into a service dominated economy. Why? The dumbing down of America. It is the hallmark of Christian perfection to submit your mind, body, and soul, to the leader of the cult, be it a Catholic priest, or Baptist minister. Critical thinking is discouraged, as a critical thinker will undoubtedly come to the same conclusions that secularists have.

Consider everything that is George Bush. It is the embodiment of the Christian plan. He has placed himself above the law, and launched terrible wars. His followers are blind and subservient.

My point here is that there really is a concerted effort on the part of some certifiably insane people to force their craziness on the rest of us. They are gaining ground. It's just unfortunate that most would read my post and think I'm over exagerating. They like to treat the Christians like the kids that rode the short bus.... crazy, but harmless.

It is quite evident from the events of the past 5 years that these people are anything but harmless.

The judge essentially says the same as I, except he does it in a much less antagonistic way.

Those who disagree with our holding will likely mark it as the product of an activist judge. If so, they will have erred as this is manifestly not an activist Court. Rather, this case came to us as the result of the activism of an ill-informed faction on a school board, aided by a national public interest law firm eager to find a constitutional test case on ID, who in combination drove the Board to adopt an imprudent and ultimately unconstitutional policy. The breathtaking inanity of the Board's decision is evident when considered against the factual backdrop which has now been fully revealed through this trial. The students, parents, and teachers of the Dover Area School District deserved better than to be dragged into this legal maelstrom, with its resulting utter waste of monetary and personal resources.
