Bush = Nixon?

You old farts remember John Dean? Barbara Boxer does.. and she's consulting some Constitutional scholars to determine if chimpy should be impeached..

On Sunday, December 18, former White House Counsel John Dean and I participated in a public discussion that covered many issues, including this surveillance. Mr. Dean, who was President Nixon's counsel at the time of Watergate, said that President Bush is "the first President to admit to an impeachable offense." Today, Mr. Dean confirmed his statement.
So.. you think Dean might know a thing or two about impeaching a President?

I'm not sure if this situation is a violation of the Constitution or not.. and I suppose we'll need to wait for the experts to weigh in.. but one thing is clear. The NSA did NOT get proper warrants after the fact, as required.

For some reason, the entire federal government thinks this is all just one big giant episode of 24, where the special agent breaks all kinds of federal laws because there is a bomb about to go off.

It doesn't work that way in the real world. I'd imagine most real Americans would rather be dead then live under the jackboot of a fascist federal government.

Then again.. most Americans aren't Patrick Henry.. right? Most are pathetic, cowering, hate-mongering fools..
