How about a good old fashioned class warfare, French revolution style?

The email exhanges between FEMA chief Brown and others during the Katrina disaster paint a very clear picture of class divide in the United States:

The e-mails show that Brown, who had been planning to step down from his post when the storm hit, was preoccupied with his image on television even as one of the first FEMA officials to arrive in New Orleans, Marty Bahamonde, was reporting a crisis situation of increasing chaos to FEMA officials.

"My eyes must certainly be deceiving me. You look fabulous — and I'm not talking the makeup," writes Cindy Taylor, FEMA's deputy director of public affairs to Brown on 7:10 a.m. local time on Aug. 29.

"I got it at Nordstroms," Brown writes back. "Are you proud of me? Can I quit now? Can I go home?" An hour later, Brown adds: "If you'll look at my lovely FEMA attire, you'll really vomit. I am a fashion god."

I find it really amusing that there are millions of right wing hacks, living in apartments, working crappy jobs, making little money, who would defend people like that. I know a few who would literally drop to their knees and fellate the wealthy when told to.

They would do it because they want to be the "cool rich kids" so badly they will sell their souls for it.

Brown was clearly a political appointment to a federal agency with responsibility for managing emergencies in a post 9/11 world. Was he concerned with the dozens of old people drowning in nursing homes? Umm.. no.. he was concerned with how he looked on TV.

And he deseves to burn in whatever hell there is to burn in - for all eternity - for that.

There clearly is a class division, and the wealthy really do not care for the lives of the poor...

I'll give you an example that was in the local papers a few weeks ago.

Dallas has a wealthy area called Highland Park. You gotta have serious money to live in that area. Millions..

The Highland Park high school recently had their "senior thug day", whatever the hell that is, where I guess the seniors basically act like assholes. At Highland Park High, seniors came dressed as black thug gangstas with gold capped teeth, and some came dressed as Mexican laborores, complete with leaf blowers.

The attitude of disdain is rampant in rich America. That kid with the leaf blower should be eaten alive by the poor Mexican's he despises.

More tax cuts for the wealthy coming..

But some Republicans worry that social service cuts, though relatively small, might have outsized political ramifications, especially when Republicans move in the coming weeks to cut taxes for the fifth time in as many years. Those tax cuts, totaling $70 billion over five years, would more than offset the deficit reduction that would result from the budget cuts.

But wait.. there's more..

The food stamp cuts in the House measure would knock nearly 300,000 people off nutritional assistance programs, including 70,000 legal immigrants, according to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office. Those immigrants would lose their benefits because the House measure would require legal immigrants to live in the United States for seven years before becoming eligible to receive food stamps, rather than the current five years.

About 40,000 children would lose eligibility for free or reduced-price school lunches, the CBO estimated.

Read that last sentence as many times as it takes to make you very angry.

That is the essence of the Republican party. They will take food out of the mouth of a child to pay for tax cuts for wealthy Americans.

Class warfare is a real thing. It's just that the wealthy are fighting it the "legal" way.
